The Mt. Ashland Ski Area is located in beautiful Southern Oregon, just minutes from downtown Medford. With gorgeous views of the surrounding area, terrain to suit any ability level, and a small-town charm that you can't find at bigger ski areas, Mt. Ashland is the place to go for some winter-time fun. The historic ski lodge underwent a $2 million remodel in 2017-19. It features a full rental shop (which offers ski and snowboard rentals and tuning), retail shop, two cafes, and the T-Bar. If you are new to skiing or snowboarding, affordable rental and lesson packages are available. There are four chairlifts at Mt. Ashland, each giving access to unique terrain that goes from an easy beginner slope to the summit, where you can access the famous, glacier-carved "Bowl." There are at least 2 terrain parks offered daily. Lifts generally spin from December to April, Thursday through Monday. Night skiing is offered until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays. During the school winter and spring breaks, the ski area is open daily. There is free shuttle service offered to and from the Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites every hour, on-the-hour on weekends and holidays. Mt. Ashland is owned and operated by the 501(c)3 nonprofit Mt. Ashland Association, which seeks to keep winter sports accessible and affordable. The popular school-based programs draw students from around our area for this affordable recreation activity. Besides skiing and snowboarding, there are endless activities available, including backcountry skiing, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, bird watching, and more. Mt.
